Hello there, and welcome to the RMI Applicatiosn Page. Have you read the rules? If not, you should probably check them out 'cause they're kind of important. Besides that, just scroll down to find the right application for you and get started!

I am a new author!

This application is for authors who do not currently have a character at RMI. It is a little bit more basic than the other applications, but also includes a sample post that we will use to determine that you've read the rules and can abide by them. This sample post also helps us Sort your character appropriately, so do your best! All fields on the application are mandatory. If you have any questions or concerns (or would like advice on your application as you're working on it), please check out the RMI Author Cafe and sign in as *Guest. Please note that if you plan to submit more than one first-year, you must use the Exceptional Student Application for the second student

I already have a character, thanks

This application is for authors who have been here for at least one term already and currently write one, two, or three characters, counting any submitted characters who have not yet been Sorted. It's a little bit more in-depth than the application for new authors, and does not require you to write a sample post! As usual, all fields on the application are mandatory.

If you so desire, you are welcome to fill out the Exceptional Student Application instead for more extensive character exploration

This application is for authors who:

• currently have three or more characters at RMI;
• have already submitted one student for this term;
• want to write a specially gifted character;
• want to 'transfer' an older student into RMI.

This app is longer to help you develop your character a little bit more than you might normally, since you already have a handful of other voices in your head that require your time and attention. Remember, you need to e-mail the Heads about special characters before you submit them, and that all fields are mandatory-as-usual.

I'm incredibly ambitious and want ultimate power to be on staff!

Well hoorah! We like people who want to write staff members. Right now we're not actually looking to fill a particular position, but we encourage you to submit an application anyway if you're really interested in joining our admin team. Vacancies pop up every so often, and sometimes we add new positions because people are really enthusiastic about writing them, or we've had a lot of requests for a particular position or class. As we are sure you're expecting by this point, all fields are mandatory. Please also keep in mind that we really encourage our staff to have at least one student character--and by 'encourage' we mean 'we probably won't accept your staff app if you're not already a site author, so get on that!'.
